A Short Trip to Utah...

My Grandma Wall and I

My parents

The kids!

Brothers, Corey and Chris

My sisters Natalie and Marisa

My step-Aunt Deon, Aunt Sheri, and Dad

(and I thought if I was in Dinosaur land I had to
take a picture of the Easter Dinosaur :)

After hearing of the passing of my Grandpa Wall, my dad got us all kids a flight to Utah to be there to support her. So, Ragnar was brave enough to take the kids for 5 days and away we went. My grandma lives in Vernal, Utah so we got to airport and drove the 3 hours to Vernal. We had a nice visit and the funeral was wonderful. I think it meant a lot for Grandma to have us all there, and I loved being with all my siblings. It was a nice weekend to be together. We will miss Grandpa but it was nice to reflect on the wonderful memories we had of him. I wish I could have gone back to Logan to say hi to friends, but was grateful I was able to be there in Vernal for my grandma. When I got home the kids were still happy and alive, the house was clean, the laundry done, and I even had a nice note, pictures, and a cake. Way to go Rags!!

Come back soon!!!

So, Lisa has been gone to Utah for a day and a half now and I am at home watching Ella and Cavin. It has been fun and the children are behaving very well for a challenged man like me. Multi-tasking is not really a strength of mine when it comes to helping one crying child while the other one is getting into things he shouldn't be getting into. But we are surviving and wanted to share a few pictures of what's going on at the house.
We went to the temple, which was fun. Ella wouldn't go unless she put on a dress and then she desperately wanted to go in and I had to tell her that she needed to wait. Of course tears followed that statement and I had to make it up to her with 'skinny cows'. Ice cream makes everything better.
Ella and Cavin play really well together. She is starting to share with her little brother and he likes being with her. Lots of times he starts to giggle when Ella plays with him. Cavin in return is not listening very well as he knows exactly when to not do something but has a smile on his face when I tell him no.
So, life is quiet here and we miss mom. Please come home soon so we can play all together again. Lisa, below are a couple of pictures so you don't forget what the kids look like. We love and miss you!

P.S. Excuse the hair!

Family Home Evening

Not a lot has been going on besides enrichment planning, story time at the library, and visiting teaching, so I haven't had much to post about. On Monday night we did have a family home evening lesson on prophets. We all sat out on the porch, enjoyed the weather, and did a pre-school lesson on prophets. Ella was dressed up as an ancient prophet Noah and Cavin was a modern prophet, President Monson! My mom even made a new verse to the song "Follow the Prophet". It was a simple evening, but the simplicity of the evening is one of the things I love about living with my parents.

26 and Counting!

Yesterday I turned another year older, but I am not sure the another year wiser came with it! I am now 26 and had a wonderful birthday. My mom took the kids and I to lunch, then sent me for a pedicure, and then we went to Chili's for dinner with my brothers family, my sister, my parents, and my family. When we were finished we came home for cake and ice cream. Thanks everyone for thinking of me!

Houston Rodeo!

Yesterday Ragnar and I got to leave the kids home and go to the Houston Livestock and Rodeo! The Rodeo is something I have been going to since I was a kid and look forward to each year. I wanted Ragnar to get a little taste of the good ole' country part of Texas. I even rode the Metro downtown for the first time to meet him there, since he already works down there. I have to admit, I was having my mom prepare the "MISSING" flyer's for when I didn't return from the bus, because they are pretty scary in Houston, but I made it safely! We went and saw the Rascal Flats which I love and they were great live! I think he really enjoyed the bull riding and such! It was definitely the most expensive date we have ever been on, but we sure had fun! Gotta love Houston and their number one Rodeo show in the nation!

Kids Having Fun!

Ella loves to play with her brother! She is a great big sister and she likes him to like to do the same things she does. So...here is her and her brother wearing sunglasses together, and wearing their work belts! I just think they are cute pictures! Also, Cavin got a walker from his grandma and has been walking everywhere throughout the house. He is getting pretty good!
