Channing's First Timberwood Soccer Season!

Channing was very excited that she made the Timberwood Middle School girls 7th grade soccer team. She just loves to be with her friends and participate.

Her grandparents came to watch her first game at Kingwood High School against Creekwood.
She enjoyed playing, but unfortunately took a ball straight to her face and she went straight down. She was so tough though and got right back up and started playing. The ref however made her go out of the game for a bit to take care of all the blood in her mouth from the ball cutting her lips where her braces are!
She looked like she had lip injections the next day! Haha!

She had a really good defensive game on a Saturday game where they were playing a player down.

She really loves to be a part of a team and enjoys being with her friends and learning new skills! She continues to grow as a player and I'm glad she keeps going!

She had a fun 7th grade soccer season and now it's officially over!

Ella's Senior Pictures!

Ella has 5 more weeks of school left and then she is officially a high school graduate! She has worked really hard this past year. Most kids get bad senioritis by the end of the first semester, but she has been going on strong! She is just now starting to get pretty tired of it all and want to be done and moved on to college. I think partly because we have paid for her college housing and she is selecting courses. I am sure gonna miss her, but here are her senior pictures that I get to enjoy while she is away!

She also was asked to Prom by her good friend Cayden

He left a hay bail on our door step and she had to find the note of who it was inside. Definitely a clever idea...and very messy!!
So, she will go to Summercreek High School's prom instead of her own, but she is happy as she has several friends there.
Unfortunately, also recently she and her friend Katelyn got in a bad accident a where her friend was driving and didn't slow fast enough on the highway to the stopped traffic and totaled her car. It is miraculous that both girls walked away without a scratch. The airbags deployed and their seat belts did their job, so they had some bruising, but God blessed them and must have great things in store for them, because this could have been much worse and they are lucky to be alive!

She is a great girl and doing great things, I hope the last part of her senior year is great!

Cavin's Sweet 16!!

Cavin celebrated his 16th birthday last week! I can't believe how much he has grown this past year! He is about to finish up his sophomore year of high school. He had his physical yesterday and is officially 6'3 and 205 lbs. He has gained a lot of muscle this year and has been working hard. He started waking up at 4:00 to go to the gym before seminary and then he has football practice during and after school as well. He spends a lot of time developing his body! He played football and soccer this year and is still playing the cello in Symphonic Orchestra. He is a busy kid with early morning seminary and taking college courses and all the other things to occupy his time. He is a smart kid with awesome grades and we are proud of his hard work. He took his driver's license test on his birthday and passed!! He's officially a licensed driver!

He is way more enthusiastic to drive than Ella was! We went to Culver's for dinner after his driving test and then he had a birthday party with friends where they played Capture the Flag and came home to play ping pong and games. I'm glad he has a great group of friends.

He is a goofy kid and always making jokes. He says "Alright" all the time and "Tu Eres Cookie?!"

He is very random, but we love him! His favorite color is orange right now. He loves drinking milk and is always stealing gatorades or drinks from the fridge. He still constantly is whistling and has become a night owl trying to finish all his homework. He enjoys listening to music and playing games with his brother. He is reffing soccer again for his job. He is a good kid and I am looking forward to seeing where life takes him! Happy 16th Birthday Cav!
