Saturday, January 7, 2023 we were able to take Channing to the Houston, Tx temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for the first time. She was beyond excited! She had her temple recommend by her desk for days before and kept asking so many questions. She couldn't wait to be inside. Her grandparents have been serving there for over a year and talk about it often, so she wanted to see where they get to go everyday. She is mature and ready and we were excited to take her when the day came. We went to dinner as a family before we dropped off Deacon and went.

Channing's First Temple Trip!
She was able to go with several other friends who were going for their first time too.
Here are some of her closest friends with her. Cheyanne, Mallory, Jane, Ellie, Katelyn, Cora, and Heidi.
She really wanted her grandparents to come even though they weren't working that night, so it was so nice of them to join us on their night off.
Even though it was pouring rain when we got there, It was a special day. Channing came out and said "It was so fun! Can we go back tomorrow?!" She can't wait to go again and I hope she has that enthusiasm for the temple and the people she can serve there throughout her life. She has the sweetest spirit and I know so many people inside and out of the temple will be blessed by her throughout her life!
An Outing With My Dad
Each year my dad and I do an outing together for his birthday. Since his birthday is in July, we tend to wait until the fall or later to do the activity when it's not so hot in Houston. This year I got him an outing to go on water bikes in Lake Woodlands. We both had never tried it and it looked fun. We went last week and the weather was beautiful!
I thought the biking on water would be more difficult, but it was actually pretty easy, and balancing was not hard. The bikes were very stable. Turning was a little difficult to learn, but easy to figure out after a few tries.
We got to bike around beautiful mansions, see parks, birds, and enjoy the water and conversation.
