Deacon is 11!!

Deacon turned 11 this week and we were happy to celebrate such a great kid!

We started with birthday donuts and a trip to the arcade and bowling! 

We bought an arcade card and Channing, Cavin, and Deacon went to town. 

They ended up playing this game several times and got a lot of tickets. Deacon was so excited! They ended up with 5,260 points so deacon chose to get a mini billiards table, hockey sticks and several other little toys! 

We then played a couple games of bowling! They didn’t have as much success on their game. 

It was a fun day! We got a free birthday ice cream at sonic after and then he played the Xbox until his grandparents came to celebrate with him. 

We went to Culver’s for dinner and came home for cake and presents and played Nertz. 

He also got this soft dart throwing game which he and Cavin played. 

He wanted to end the night with a bubble bath!! 

He is a good kid, polite, kind, competitive, and smart. He loves math, sports, goldfish, the Xbox, watching sports, and playing soccer. His favorite color is still red. He is very ready for primary to be over and to go into young men with all his friends. He is 4’11 and 110 pounds. He starts 6th grade which is middle school next week. He really is great and I’m so glad he’s part of our family! 

Grandma Wall has crossed the veil.

On July 9th my dad received a call from Landmark assisted living home that my grandma was not well and wasn't expected to live more than 24-48 hours. My dad got on a flight that night and headed to Vernal, Utah to say goodbye. In true fighter fashion, my grandma made it 88 hours until she passed as my dad patiently waited by her side each night. She finally passed early in the morning on July 14, 2025. We flew out the following evening to spend a few days in Utah and then attend her funeral on June 19th. I'm grateful she is no longer in pain and that she is reunited with her husband and family members.

We first went to Logan Utah to visit Daphne and my Aunt and Uncle. We walked USU campus and visited Daphne at work. We hung out with her dogs and chatted with her.

We went to a breakfast place before we left the next morning that gave us sooo much food!! The pancake was huge!

We always love anytime we get to spend with Daphne and were so glad she hosted us on such short notice. 

We went to Park City and went down the Alpine slide and rollercoaster. They were so fun and I love being in the mountains! 

Then we headed to Provo and met Ragnars sister Sandra for dinner and said hi! 

We went to the hotel pool and shopped and the kids were being fun. 

Then we drove down to Vernal, Utah to be with extended family and celebrate my grandma, Mabel Marie Wall. 

Her funeral was a special day. The weather was sunny and clear. Finally one of my grandparents didn't pass in the freezing winter! 

I'm so glad I got to bring my family all with me to celebrate my grandma. Sadly, Ella couldn't join even though she was just a couple hours away in the MTC.

All her grandchildren got to be together. 

It was nice to be all together with my siblings as well. 

Cavin and Ragnar were both Paul bearers for grandma. 

My grandparents on both sides are buried in this cemetery as well as my great grandparents. Only my biological grandpa Speers is not in this cemetery. 

I was asked to speak and share memories of my grandma. I was happy to share about my wonderful grandma. She lived a blessed 100 years and I felt so grateful to be her granddaughter. Rest in peace grandma, until we meet again. 

Ella is officially a missionary!

Ella is officially a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!! She was called to serve in the Laoag, Philippines mission. She was set apart on fathers day, June 15th and began her home MTC June 16-June 24th and then went to the Provo MTC until June 29 when she flew to the Philippines to go to the Manilla MTC!

She is a great girl and we are excited about her adventure. 

She gave a wonderful talk and sang a beautiful rendition of "I need thee every hour". It was so awesome to listen to that I keep listening to it on repeat!

President Scott set her apart and we were lucky to have my sisters and parents join us.

Our last couple nights together! Walk and games!

Saying goodbye was hard, but we are so proud of her!! Channing and Cavin were at FSY so they had to say goodbye early!

She was lucky to get picked up by her Oma and Opa who were in the USA and her two aunts Daphne and Sandra. 

I was SO grateful that they were able and willing to pick her up from the airport and safely drop her off at the MTC. We have a wonderfully supportive family!
