Summer Fun!

Summer has been different this year as it is the first time I have had to work full time. While I don't love having to be gone, I am grateful Ragnar at least can work from home. I am trying to make sure the days that I have off I spend hanging out and making memories with the kids.

The younger two and I went to the American Ninja Warrior place. It was well beyond our skill level, but it was fun to give it a try!
We made it up the warped wall. The other obstacles required so much grip strength!

This past weekend we drove to New Braunfels and spent a much needed weekend away with the family. It was miraculous that Ella, Ragnar, and I all had a couple consecutive days off. We floated down the river in tubes and enjoyed the rapids. Then we went to a German restaurant called Krause's that Ragnar wanted to try. That night we stayed in a hotel and then after a nice breakfast we went to Wondercave and toured the caves, a gravity house, and did a safari petting zoo. It was nice to just relax and not think about cleaning or work or any of the responsibilities we have.

The river was chilly and refreshing!
The caves were also interesting.
Glad to have a fun memory. I'm grateful for the little memories that we have together.

Graduation 2024!!!

It's official!! Ella is an Atascocita High School graduate!

She started her first day of kindergarten as this adorable girl who is now grown into an adult.
Graduation day was really hot but the sun was shining!
She had to come out and sing the national anthem with her choir.
Receiving her diploma!
My parents, two sisters, and Chris and his son Coleton came to support Ella on her big day!
It was so sunny.
Just missing Corey!
We are proud of her!
She finished top 10% of her class out of 846 students! She was in national honor society and received two scholarships! The founders scholarship from SUU and the choir scholarship for the year. She has worked hard and even when most people slack off and get bad senioritis their last year, she ended up with her best grades of all four years! Way to finish it off Ella!

The next night my parents came over again, for like the 5th time that week, to go to Ella's seminary graduation from the church education program. She was dedicated all 4 years to waking up and being at seminary every morning at 5:50 a.m. She is obedient and a great kid, and I am grateful for her dedication. She had to organize the seminary graduation and sing a musical number.
Her senior year her teachers were Brother Lindsay and Brother Stansel and they were great.

We were able to have a big open house with the 12 seniors who are in our church ward that she graduated with. It was wonderful and so many people were generous and supported her.
Now she has officially closed that chapter of her life.

Ella's Senior Week of Celebration!

Ella's last week of school was filled with so many events!! She had her last orchestra concert, her Eagle Springs Elementary senior walk, her TMS stem academy reception, her orchestra banquet, and her choir banquet. I loved being able to attend with her and see all the hard work she has put in the last four years come to a close and be rewarded.

These were her two best elementary friends, Helen and Audrey who is the valedictorian for their class.
All these kiddos are graduating and off to great things!
Ella and Cavin had fun at their orchestra banquet together!
The seniors were few as they had a difficult director the years before, but these are the few that stuck it out and it paid off as a new instructor came in and made the program fun again!
I'm so glad Cavin decided to continue on in orchestra.
Her choir banquet was great!
These seniors got the outstanding senior award.
We were so thrilled that Ella won the $1500 choir scholarship for the year! We are so proud of her!!
Mrs. N was a great influence on Ella and I'm so grateful for good teachers.
Ella also started her first job the week after school ended. She is working at Crumbl cookie! Such a big week for her!
