In December Ella and Cavin tried out for the play "Much Ado About Nothing" put on by the "All The World's A Stage" company. They really wanted to be cast as certain characters and were thrilled to be cast as the part of their choice. Ella tried out and made it as the main girl, Beatrice and Cavin tried out and made it cast as one of the main male parts Claudio. I couldn't believe how badly Cavin wanted to try out and get the part. He has really started to come out of his shell and blossom and I have loved watching it.
It was two months of a lot of practicing. They spent many nights reciting their parts and scenes and worked really hard. Ella has done more plays but had a lot of responsibility as the leading lady and really wanted to do it right. I was so excited the weekend of the performance to see how it all came together. Our actor/actress in the making!
The women who run this acting company put a lot of time and effort into helping these kids develop their talents. They had the Shakespeare play set to a western theme since we are in Texas and it is rodeo season.
They performed 3 shows.
Ella was cast perfectly and she did awesome!
They had some dancing and a masquerade.
Cavin was a handsome Cladio and he did so well!
Some faces we see often. :)
Cavin was matched with a cute girl Anna and they worked well together. Ella was cast next to Kaleb and he and her fed off each other well! It was such a fun show and I was so proud of them!
I have the best children and I am so proud to be their mom!
I'm grateful for the support of my parents who are always at everything cheering them on! I am grateful the kids have opportunities to try different avenues and explore many of their interests and talents. They don't have the time in their schedules or the opportunity to do these things at the school so this is a great place for them to explore and develop. I love them and I love that they want to be the best they can be in whatever they do. I can't wait to see what else they can do!
