Miscellaneous Catching Up!

Football season ended for Cavin this past week. He ended his freshman season with a great game. His kicks were really good and he played hard. It was fun to see him play so well. I'm excited to see his progress.

We loved cheering him on!
Ella and Channing both had their fall choir concerts. They both love to sing and I love to listen to them.
Ella has amazing choir directors!
Channing gets so excited to perform and is excited this is her first one.
Deacon was chosen as the Eagle Of The Month for September and he was excited. I went to lunch with him and he wanted to take a picture! He really tries hard to be a great student.
Finally, Channing and Deacon had their primary program and it was Channing's last one. I'm so sad she will be in young women's in a couple months. She is ready though even though she is happy in primary.
Each month I love to keep up with the kids and see them progress! They all have amazing grades and work hard! I'm so grateful to have such wonderful kids!

Halloween 2022

This year we celebrated Halloween a little differently. We went to the church Trunk or Treat and the kids had fun there. The rest of the celebrations, all the kids were in different places celebrating with different friend groups.

Ella was Alice from Alice in Wonderland, Cavin was a Turkey.. don't ask???, Channing was love a lot carebear, and Deacon was Waldo (he LOVES the where's Waldo books right now so we decided he should be him!).
On Halloween night all the kids except Deacon had friend parties to go to, so Deacon came with us to our friends house.  I'm glad the kids have friends, but was sad that we only had one kid left :,(

Cute Carebears!
Cavin's blow up costume was hot, so midway he had to improvise ;)
We had another nice Halloween day. It is not my favorite holiday, but I was glad we got to make some fun memories.

A Spontaneous Trip to Arkansas!

Many, if not all, people who know me, know that I am not spontaneous. I spend a lot of time planning and preparing for things. I like to be organized and to know what to expect. Well, this week I did something out of the ordinary. We had Fall break from school and we were originally going to have to stay because Cavin had a football game Thursday night. Well, on Monday his game was moved to Wednesday evening and I started to formulate an idea. I have been wanting to visit my sister Marisa for a while, but haven't been able to find a good time to make it work with the kids' schedules. I have been feeling a lot lately that I needed to go. Well, Ragnar left for Germany on a business trip and to see his parents, so I felt like I needed to take advantage of the unexpected 4 days and make a real quick trip to Arkansas.

We left early Thursday morning and with the help of Ella driving, we made it in time to see Liam's football game. He got some playing time at the end and it was fun to see him play and see a part of his life.

He got sandwiched pretty good at the end, but took the tackle pretty well!
His team won and #40 was fun to cheer. It was a beautiful night and a great facility they get to play on.

Marisa's house is beautiful and the boys enjoyed the backyard and played a lot of football in the nice weather.
Ethan taught Ella and Cavin how to play Risk and he did a little too well as Cavin won ;)
Channing was in heaven with Roma their dog and baby Grayson!
We played pickle ball, painted pumpkins, and made Carmel apples.
Cute Grayson kept us entertained.
We got to see the temple which is almost finished.
Addie and Kate sure are silly!
We went to church together since they have very early church, and then hit the road. I was nervous driving as I have felt a little off, but Ella once again helped drive and we made it safely.
I was so grateful I got to see my sister and her family. I sure love her and her cute family and I really wish they lived closer!! I hope it isn't three years til we get back again!

First stitches

Deacon showed off his new pants and slid on the tile and then ended up slipping and smacking his chin on the floor. Sadly the cut was deep enough he had to get stitches. I guess I feel pretty good about making it this long without a kid having to get stitches, but I sure wish we could have kept the streak alive!

Poor kid was so nervous to get stitches, but was so brave when the dr came in to do them. Honestly the dr was more nervous than he was. Her hand kept shaking and I was getting a little worried about how successful she would be, but she ended up doing a great job.
I hope the scar is mild as his pretty face doesn't need any accessories. We sure love this boy and he did great through it all.

Homecoming 22 and Ragnar's birthday!

Homecoming has come again for Atascocita High School. Ella decided to go with a bunch of friends this year and skip the dance portion. They took pictures, went to dinner, and then went to a friends to karaoke and hang out. They seem to have a fun evening.

She is beautiful in green.
Beautiful girls.
A fun group of boys..some hadn't made it quite yet ;)
These are two of Ella's best friends. Katelyn and Aspen.
Ella and Beth who helped her organize it this year.
She only has one more homecoming left :'( so sad! I'm glad for her to be making these high school memories.

The next day Ragnar turned 45!!

It was a simple celebration, but he is an incredible man.
We had dinner and played games and just enjoyed celebrating his 45 years of life.
