Fall Heatwave season

Tis the season for soccer! Our happy hearts love soccer season! Channing is playing again this season and Deacon is back with his same team. Ragnar got roped into coaching both teams, so his Tuesday nights are busy! 

Channing's team U14 and are  the tangerine Oompa Loompa's (not a name she or Rags was fond of ;)) The team color with her hair sure makes her look like she's on fire when she runs :) haha. 

Deacon's team is the blue eagles. He has been playing U12 for 2 years and is still not technically in his age group yet. Several of the boys he has played with the past few years aged up into the next age group so only about half are returning players. 

Ragnar and Cavin are still reffing so Saturdays are super long!

Lots of sun and soccer! I hope it's a great season!

Family pictures 2024!

Before Ella left for college, we did our family pictures for the year! I didn't want a family Christmas card picture without her in it! I absolutely love family pictures. I adore this family of mine and am so grateful they are mine! I love documenting another year!

Another School Year 2024-2025!

The kids started school again on August 7, 2024. I officially have 4 kids in 4 different schools. Ella is in college, Cavin started his junior year, Channing 8th grade, and Deacon 5th grade. 

Cavin is at Atascocita High School. He is a junior and in Symphonic orchestra still playing the cello and on the JV and Varsity football teams again this year. He has early morning seminary before school and is great about getting up and getting there. He is heavily involved in AP classes and has a full schedule, but he works hard to get it all done. 

Channing is in 8th grade and in her last year of middle school! She is in choir and is one of the choir officers. She is also doing all the sports in athletics again. She loves to participate and be involved. 

Deacon is in his last year of Elementary school at Eagle Springs Elementary. He is in 5th grade. He is in safety patrol, and math olympiads. He also happily picks up trash around campus each morning, and loves the free breakfasts this year! 

Ella is in college...more on that soon... I hope they each have a fabulous year of school! 

Ragnar and I celebrate 20 years!!!

Ragnar and I went to the woodlands for a night to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We've been lucky to have had a solid friendship throughout our relationship. I genuinely enjoy being around him and we have several of the same interests. I always say life isn't easy, but being his wife is. He is kind and thoughtful and has always put me first. It may have taken a couple years for me to come around, but everyday I am grateful he is my husband. Happy 20 years Rags!!

Deacon is DOUBLE DIGITS!

On July 30th Deacon turned 10!! He wanted to go to Top Golf as a family for his birthday! My parents and Natalie joined as well! We went the weekend before his birthday since Ragnar and I both had to work on his birthday. 

    It was a hot/humid day, but we enjoyed playing together. 

I'm grateful my parents are always so awesome to support our kids. 

The slang that the kids are saying now is "Rizz, Rizzler, Skibidi, and sigma" It's silly, but Deacon is always saying those words. 

He ate his breakfast donut. 

Channing and I made a red velvet cake for him since it's his favorite. 

He got an adorable monkey from my parents, a banana chair, headphones, games, soccer cleats, a basketball, a waterbottle, a jersey, candy, water balloons, just a bunch of fun things. 

His monkey whom he lovingly named Bonzo Gonzo played some games with us.

Deacon still loves monkeys, the color red, soccer, goldfish, gogurts, and macaroni, he loves to play rocket league, he learned to ride his bike better this summer, he is still very competitive and loves to play and watch sports. He enjoys math and the movie Cars. He still loves to play with his brother any time he can. He always wants to go bowling or play with a ball. He is still a a calm, content child. We sure love him.
