This Easter weekend was a little bit unusual as it fell on the same weekend as our church does "General Conference" worldwide. So instead of having Easter at our church building, we watched conference on Saturday and Sunday from home. It was a nice relaxing weekend with time spent with Grandma and Grandpa!
On Friday the kids had no school, so we went to my parents and did an Easter egg hunt and made our own Easter baskets and conference journals. The kids love crafting!
Deacon was happy to watch the eggs while the others searched for more ;)
Saturday we dyed Easter Eggs.
Here are some of their beauties!
Each year we build a "fort/tent" as King Benjamin to watch the Prophet speak.
Channing kept conducting the music...
And Deacon happily played.
Cavin and Dad were happy to watch a little late night sports when it was over.
On Easter Sunday we went over to my parents to watch conference. Grandpa happily held Deacon and helped him conduct the music.
Of course Channing had to join in again..this time with lots of gusto!!
Here is Channing's bunny hair that Aunt Daphne sent her...We had a nice and simple Easter. I am grateful for Christ and the sacrifice He made so that we can celebrate this glorious holiday and know that He lives again!
